Three Generations of Jewellery Expertise in Hamilton

At Laura Tedesco Jewellery Design, we create beautiful and meaningful pieces of jewellery that turn personal stories, relationships, and memories into something tangible and enduring. Whether you're celebrating a milestone, honouring a loved one, or reimagining a family heirloom, our collaborative design process allows us create jewellery that feels deeply personal, thoughtfully crafted, and impossible to replicate.

A Family Legacy Built on a Custom Design Philosophy

Laura Tedesco Jewellery Design is a family-owned studio built on creativity and craftsmanship. Laura works with her husband, John, and her father, Dino, drawing on their generations of expertise to create unique pieces that reflect your story. Every custom project begins with an in-depth conversation and is designed collaboratively.

A Legacy That Started with Venetian Jewellers

Dino Tedesco

Dino built his career at the historic Venetian Jewellers, accumulating 60 years of knowledge in the diamond and jewellery industry. Now retired from daily operations, he still consults at Laura's studio on Locke Street, offering the kind of insight that only comes from six decades of evaluating diamonds and understanding how fine jewellery performs over a lifetime. His presence means that when you sit down to discuss stone selection or design integrity, you're drawing on a depth of expertise few studios anywhere in Canada can match. That generational knowledge is what separates a piece that looks beautiful today from one that remains structurally sound and visually stunning for the grandchild who inherits it.

Laura Tedesco

Laura's passion for jewellery began at Venetian Jewellers in Hamilton, where she learned from her father, Dino Tedesco, whose 60 years of industry experience shaped her understanding of craftsmanship and meaningful design. Those early experiences inspired a lifelong appreciation for the stories and emotions behind every piece.

After losing her mother at a young age, Laura found purpose through jewellery design. While studying in Florence through the Gemological Institute of America, she developed her artistic style and created an award-winning ring using her mother's marquise diamond, earning first place in the 2010 Canadian Excellence in Design Competition.

Today, Laura works alongside her experienced husband John (14+ years) and father Dino at her Locke Street South studio, creating custom jewellery that honours personal stories, celebrates milestones, and becomes treasured for generations.

Jewellery with Personal Meaning

We believe jewellery should be more than something you wear; it should reflect who you are and what matters most to you. Every piece is thoughtfully designed around your story, creating wearable art that celebrates milestones, honours memories, and becomes a part of your family legacy.
